Fungus Eliminator

As discussed on the Betta Fin Rot Prevention page, feeding your Bettas a balanced diet, keeping the water clean and providing your Bettas with a stress–free environment will go a very long way in preventing disease from coming back or even occuring in the first place.

But should illness strike your little fishy friend, fungus eliminator is one of those medications you should always have on hand.

The ingredients of Jungle Labs Fungus Eliminator are: sodium chloride, nitrofurazone, furazolidone and potassium dichromate. The fish will not have any problems with this formulation because of the major presence of salts in it. When used together with Melafix, the fungal infections cleare up easily and quickly. Use Jungle Labs Fungus Eliminator as soon as you notice symptoms, so that the disease won't spread to other inhabitants, if you have a community tank.

It is recommended to remove snails and plants before using Fungus Eliminator in the tank, because these small creatures may not be able to tolerate it. Almost a quarter of the water in the aquarium needs to be changed before administering Fungus Eliminator. The suggested dosage is 1 teaspoon for 5 gallons of water. Remove activated carbon during use. Second dose may be added in four days after a 25% water change. Can be used full–strength even on catfish. It is not recommended for use on crustaceans.
